Job description, responsibilities and authorities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, design, and optimization of mechanical components and tooling from initial concept to serial production, including technical troubleshooting and ensuring high quality and manufacturing efficiency
- Proposal of conceptual and final solutions in accordance with requirements formulated by customers, suppliers, and specialists from individual departments, in order to meet standards and quality parameters of the final product.
- Preparation of 3D models/2D drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) for new and replacement parts.
- Adherence to drawing standards as well as data revision and archiving systems.
- Cooperation with manufacturing plants and R&D centers regarding the design, modifications, and adjustments of mechanical parts to ensure optimization in terms of manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Participation in project management from component design, pricing, tool design, simulation, tool manufacturing, and tuning, up to the production of functional samples.
- Design of new tools/optimization of used tools and revision changes of modified tool parts.
- Identification, analysis, and resolution of production problems associated with the manufacturing process, and setting necessary adjustments to achieve required specifications and stable maximum quality.
- Participation in defining the technological procedure for part manufacturing and conducting consultations with the toolroom regarding manufacturability and adjustments. Participation in processes related to the implementation of engineering change requests (ECR).
- Planning and execution of process validation tests and capability studies to confirm process robustness.
- Provision of technical support, training, and professional guidance for tool manufacturing and maintenance, monitoring cycle times, analyzing material consumption, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
