Division Head (Automotive) (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities will be:
- Strategic and operational management:
- Identifying target markets and market opportunities as the basis for the division's strategy across different product lines, regions and customer segments
- Designing and implementing the strategic direction for the division with regard to corporate goals
- Monitoring industry trends and the competitive landscape to adjust strategy
Working closely with product development and marketing teams to profitably meet market needs - Meeting quality, cost and time targets according to relevant automotive standards
- Division and program management:
- Responsibility for coordinating and monitoring multiple development and series projects
- Close cooperation with OEMs, suppliers and internal specialist departments as well as with division and project controllers
- Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the performance of the division, employees and projects
- Ensuring product and department P&L key figures and performance
- Identifying risks and challenges and developing strategies to mitigate risks
- Personnel management:
- Leading, motivating and developing teams from different divisions in an international environment
- Ensuring effective planning of resources and capacities
- Promoting an innovation-oriented work culture and a constant sense of optimization
- Communication and stakeholder management:
- Regular exchange and reporting on progress with customers, suppliers and internal partners
- Preparation of reports and presentations of project results for top management and other stakeholders
- Responsibility for the product P&L and reporting to top management and BU Head
Required skills and experience:
- Successfully completed studies in the field of engineering, automotive engineering, industrial engineering
- Several years of experience in a managerial position, preferably in the automotive industry Familiarity with methods and processes from the automotive sector such as APQP, A-SPICE, VDA 6.3
- Skills in the implementation of cost, budget and resource management
- High competence in leadership and decision making
- Assertiveness and strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High level of self-organization and problem-solving skills
- High willingness to travel
- Fluent knowledge of German and English
