Job description, responsibilities and authorities

As a Test Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing advanced testing systems for mechatronic automotive products. You will bridge the gap between product design and mass production by developing robust test procedures, managing software variants, and ensuring high system availability through technical support and continuous process improvement.

  • Creating test system setups according to product specifications, preparing process documentation, and collaborating on control plans, process documents, and work instructions.
  • Supporting test systems in production.
  • Systematic error analysis and troubleshooting.
  • First-level management and support for test equipment software.
  • Managing software equipment and its variants; resolving software-related issues in test systems.
  • Developing and analyzing test and measurement processes, collaborating with designers to optimize testing procedures.
  • Updating PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for test equipment based on new processes and complaints.
  • Planning and ensuring the necessary test equipment for sample and series production.
    Testing and qualifying measurement/test devices, maintaining and modifying test software.
  • Providing active remote support for rapid problem resolution and ensuring high availability of test systems.
  • Preparing specifications for complex measurement systems and documentation for new production lines.
  • Analyzing requirements from production, recording technical details, and managing the implementation of test software modifications.
  • Developing suitable calibration procedures and setup patterns for integrated production measurement systems.
  • Commissioning and setting up test equipment at production plants.
  • Communicating and collaborating with the R&D center in Germany and production in Slovakia.

Personal requirements and skills

  • Practical experience with testing equipment and procedures for industrial production.
  • Excellent knowledge of testing technologies/processes for mechatronic automotive products.
  • Experience with embedded systems development or technical support.
  • Experience with Vector tools such as CANoe.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Structured, systematic, and analytical thinking.
  • Responsibility and thoroughness.
  • Experience in Engineering, Mechanics, or Automation.
