Job description, responsibilities and authorities
As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of software components in industrial production by analyzing complex requirements and developing robust test specifications. You will execute both manual and automated testing processes, leveraging tools like Python and Vector to validate embedded systems and drive continuous quality improvement within our innovative R&D projects.
- Responsibility for testing software components in industrial production.
- Analyzing software and system requirements from customers.
- Creating test specifications.
- Performing manual and automated testing.
- Defining, implementing, and documenting test processes.
- Ensuring the automation of testing processes.
- Maintaining and participating in the development of test equipment.
- Verifying the accuracy of results and reporting them to the supervisor.
- Participating in project meetings.
- Responsible usage of testing procedures and laboratory equipment.
Personal requirements and skills
- Experience with various types of software tests (unit, qualification, and integration tests).
- Experience with system testing.
- Experience in writing test scenarios/scripts.
- Proficiency in Python, CAPL, and Vector tools.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Tessy (an advantage).
- Experience with embedded systems testing (an advantage).
- ISTQB certification (an advantage).
- Experience with Agile software development (an advantage).
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
