SMT Engineer for Prototype Production (R&D)

Salary (gross): 1,400 - 2,600 EUR/month (depending on work experience)
Job description, responsibilities and authorities
As an SMT Engineer for prototype production, you will bridge the gap between design and reality by ensuring the high-quality assembly of innovative R&D samples. Your role combines technical precision in operating SMT lines with proactive process optimization to support the development of next-generation electronic solutions.
- SMT production for research and development (R&D) prototype samples.
- Setup and operation of SMT equipment.
- Purchasing of components and materials.
- Assembly and inspection of soldering according to IPC requirements.
- Equipment maintenance.
- Inventory management of components.
- Identifying causes of insufficient soldering.
- Optimization of the production process.
- Communication with suppliers for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Compliance with all established ESD, safety, quality, and security rules.
Personal requirements and skills
- Experience with SMT production (solder paste application, pick & place, reflow, AOI, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documentation (e.g., Gerber data).
- Experience with manual soldering.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to common goals.
- Theoretical understanding combined with practical skills, precision, and responsibility.
- Knowledge of IPC 610, J-STD, or similar standards is an advantage.
The position is also suitable for fresh graduates.
